Post by 2roky »

just seeing how much interest i can get for parts off my feroza/rocky as i have written it off a couple of months ago. im just sorting out insurance for it now im back in the country.. if i dont get very much from insurance i may look at parting it out.

wanting to know how many people would want parts and what sort of parts as well,

Your wrecking your daily driver?

If its the same as the jizzblizzes, id be keen on the right-hand side tail-light.

If it looks like the inverse of that one.

Just remember you can always get another valuation. These days tardme is an acceptable measure of value. Dont except less then what you get on there.

Ill hit you a PM about parts.

Yes indeed - I'm looking for a fuel pump - mine is oozing oil all over the place.

No probs - Bad luck tho so I hope the rebuild goes well.

I'll look at doing a gasket change as the pump works fine so that suggests the oil leak might (must) be the gasket although I suppose it could be something else.

For sure - I have been reading the manual and it certainly looks doable so this Saturday weather permitting I'll rip into it (with great caution)

LOL got me as well 2roky :) mine was in the same place .. behind the rear right hand speaker panel .... i know i drilled a hole for my soft top and managed to drill right thru that plastic high pressure return box thingie!@! :) :) ... the carb'ed versions have a shock horror mechcanical fuel pump by the sounds of it!! .. sounds like there is a "plastic/fibirous/compressed cardboard type spacer between the block and the pump ... looks like thats where it leaking from.

Been searching for buddy for the same right hand tail light. This part is so hard to find in my area, yeah there are some ending on the scrap / junk yard but still it is either some one took it first.

Got a workmate of my wife's after a "LHS lower outer balljoint to MFS". On VTNZ sheet.

Not sure what MFS is?? multilink front suspension??

For a 1993 Daihatsu Rugger SX (diesel I think).

Available??

Hiya, I'm looking for the Power Steering steel return line loop that takes a scenic trip across the front chassis and back before heading back to the reservoir (maybe for cooling?) - I've got a friend whose got a Feroza with the pipe rusted through. I've bypassed it with PS hose but apparently that counts as a steering modification... cheers, Terry

Hi, that'd be great. I don't think it's actually been bounced, it sounds like she has a friend whose "an expert" on these things (but not expert enough to get his hands dirty  ) ... I wouldn't mind, but it looks like a pig to get out, might have to pull the radiator and associated plumbing - for such a small engine they're pretty crowded at the front... I'm tempted to just fit a small oil-cooler, but not sure about space, and she's been given a fright now, so best just go with standard - the hardest work it ever does is down to the beach with the dogs anyway.

Damn, just been up for a visit and forgot to take the photo. Probably wouldn't have been able to get it anyway - it's the "U" shaped bit of steel line thats fixed to the cross-piece of the chassis under the radiator, starts and ends under the power steering pump, its attached (brazed?) to a couple of brackets. About 400-600mm long and 50-75mm wide. I've tried to cut the diagram from the manual...
