Pete,Mike and anyone else  , don't BAG  Sheffield Mud Plug ORGANIZERS :( , I haven't and won't have an argument with you  , but remember with out the SHEFFIELD event Canterbury would not have had an open event for the last ?????? 11yrs, I know there is no intent intended but please don't even put it in print. Sheffield has been great for 4WDing and is responsible for a lot of members here on ORE.
Have a great day out at the river, if the old tyres still hold air I might get old SMOKEY going and join you,

YEAH RIGHT,

el nibbo espreston esquire and vomtiron = in.. gotta test pre sheffield...

like nick said... 2s, whats the meet details?

and i'm with smokey on the baggin thang.. its always been a great event.. they need the punters through the gate in order for it to be a fund raiser.. it'll only end up being better weather with the new date also rather than a shizenhouser fest where nobody gets through anything and no spectators either..

lets just sit back and enjoy what eventuates..

I'm sure Mike wasn't Kev. But I was.
I meant to say that I appreciate all the work Nev and his team have put into the annual event that's been running for the past 11 years. And it's a very successful one. No question what so ever there. They do a great job.
Only, the past few years (this will be my 5th) they've always had issues with it being to dry. I thought with the forecast for this Sunday being sunny and 12 degrees they'd be keen to get us all out there.
But with it being so greasy I guess the owner doesn't want the spectators to rip up paddocks. I'm sure they have their reason what ever they maybe. And I respect that. I've been really looking forward to it and to have it postponed for a 2nd time is a bit frustrating. Not to mention the 3rd date set (18th Sept) is the same weekend of the Dunedin Winch Challenge Comp. As I'm entered in that one I'm on the fence to which one to go to..

Rant over.
Sorry. :|

Turoa,
Is it worth me bringing me buggy to this one? Coz if there's any driving home on the public roads I'll pass. :D

Cheers.

would love to come on the Ashley trip, can't because i'll be on the coast :o
I would've competed in the first Seffield date but it got postponed :(
I Transferred my entry to Mike for the 21st Aug
21st Aug has now been postponed to 18th sept
Mikke probably won't be there :(
Hope the original entry that I had which i transferred to Mike, that has been postponed again is transferred back to me as we can attend on the 18th Sept......but it'll probably get postponed 8)
Does that make sense or should a conclusion to the question be postponed :?:

yeah ya indian giver  thought i pm'ed that to you yesterday  Are you able to give that dude a call again and say now its been moved to next month you can now compete and transfer it back

I wasn't hassling the organisers kev, just the circumstances that have unfolded  would be good to see you on sunday if ya can get old red out 8) sheffield still remains one of the best events ive entered, not as good as when the crazy horses were rolling (2's team in the challenges up north) but best solo event.

If you lose your spot for the 18th Sept you could always drive down south Tim and do a more challenging competition, if you dare, and enter in the Dunedin Winch Challenge?? Put that winch to good use mate.

Have fun at the Ashley this weekend guys. Don't drown your trucks aye!
Take lots of pix.
