after a long week feeding out in the snow, and a fine day today
the boss cranked up the bulldozer after lunch to go look for sheep on the hill and told me to have the rest of the day off
so went home picked up the dogs and headed to were he was going, as i wouldnt be able to get anywere else
gave the truck a good work out in the snow with my heavy chains on that i made up and they were brilliant digging in deep and pulling me thru some good deep drifts
i caught up with the boss dozing tracks and had a cuppa tea before he started dozing a track so i could check out a spot for a pig
dogs were winding hard up the hill so i went for a wander and left him to it but no luck a bit dissapointed i headed down and caught up with the boss on his way back out heading for home, when he told me he thought id buggered off home cause 2 min after i left him he seen a pig about 50mt from the track
so off up the hill to were the pig was spotted and find his tracks in the snow
they led into a pig bed only another 20mt away he must be here no other tracks but the dogs are in and out of the tunnel and nothing
i climb up on top of the scrub to take a look and jump down the other side to see were he mitve gone
when all of a sudden a pig comes flying out of the scrub flying down the steep face in knee deep snow with my young dog hard up his ass
he stopped him at the creek were my main dog joined in with me and the pup sliding down close by
pig stuck and pats all round had the hard task of carrying it the 100m to the track
decided to carry it the other 100m to the truck and off home
pig was a nice wee 100pd boar with not bad jaw was even easier than last fridays pigs so not a bad day at work
