Suzuki manual hubs wanted

My bro needs manual hubs for his 1993ish 1.6L Vitara/Escudo. AVM's are $370 and Superwinch not much different and been told 413 ones fit all 1.6L models and better quality.

Can anyone confirm this is true, and does anyone know of any available manual hubs, whether Suzuki ones or aftermarket.

i believe the 413 ones do fit, but the escudo cv / axle spline has a circlip holding it in place and the 413 hubs dont have space for the circlip, i have heard you can fix this with a washer and bolt on the end of the axle or something, but cant remember. do a search on google, i remember finding a few good articles on other websites.

Cool, cant say I understand the bolt instruction - not sure exactly what you do with the bolt, but replacing the circlip for a split ring is presumably to stop the axle retreating out of the freewheeling hub and back through the hug assembly just like the circlip does.

I dont understand why the circlip slot on the axle isnt visible regardless of what hub you have on...is the problem that the axle pokes out too far and contacts the freewheel hub, or the axle retreats and doesnt fully engage with the freewheel hub?

I bought some Warn hubs of trademe, ~$300. I needed to buy new bolts to attach them as mine had drive flanges. At first the bolts kept undoing all the time but I've now loctited the hubs and the bolts in and haven't had any problems since.

I think I know what Big-al is talking about, a circlip is used to retain the cv on the vitara. A 413 hub doesn't accomodate for this circlip but the vitara cv has a treaded hole in the end of it that you can put a bolt and a large washer in and this will retain the cv onto the free wheeling hub.

its not a big job, just a bolt and washer to stio axle moving in hub,
there is no weight, just for locating.
all warn hubs on suzukis need these.
where are you ?? have some factory Samuari hubs here

Mine didn't actually need this mod done to it, I still run circlips but I do have the 26 spline hubs.
