Anyone Know Regulations on cutting hole in bonnet

just wanting to know regulations on cutting a hole in my bonnet to fit a new carb. doesn't have enough room in to clear the bonnet

I cut a hole to add the intercooler scoop.
WOF man didnt care.

As long as the bonnet is secure, and there are no sharpe protusions and it doesnt effect driver vision.
Not sure if there is anything else.
If in doubt drop in to LTSA WOF place and ask.

I was told you cant cut the structural bits but the skin is fine
Dont follow me. i'll get stuck and need a tow..

i cut the structural bits on mine to fit bonnet scoop and went through Cert and wof no worries. but i have been told if you cut holes they need to be covered

Put a bulge/scoop on, and make it part of the structure (ie weld it on)?

Sorry for the bad pic, but the plastic scoop I put on is from Supercheap and only stung me $20, I thought it was damn cheap and looks OK :mrgreen: Plus it helps keep the old girl coolies 8) My mate who is a Mech says it's fine and he has even done it to his.
