Dunno, but i remember a photo of suprasurf with a surf body hanging from a tree so I imagine it will pretty heavy and akward to get off a chassis. I hoisted a Range rover one off a chassis and that was dam heavy and bloody akward. I then rolled the chassis out from underneath and a trailer in its place. Did this all by myself with some cargo straps. With a few more hands and some straps you should manage quite well. Borrow suprasurfs tree

hmmm my problem is that i need to get all the drive train out then get rid of the body and chassis. I have two options, trailer it to steves shed and to it there then trailer it away. or if i could i would like to do it at my place. my idea was to jack it up with high lift jacks on the body and normal jacks under the diffs then unbolt and lower chassis down (wheels off) then with a guy on each wheel arch walk body forward on to a trailer.
could this work? have to get the engine out first too lol.

cheers Pete

was going to just scrap it. its quite rough. missing front left guard. i have taken all the doors and windows out (apart from the windscreen as it has a small crack in if so is of no use to me) and plan on keeping them. there are only rear seats and no wing mirrors. if they want it they are welcome to it.

I guess they'd be similar to a Pajero.... I just undid everything then hoiked a chain round the roof & onto my ute and drove off. Very sucessfull. Then backed a trailer alongside the body which was on its base, run a hand winch from the far side of the trailer, over the body and then winched it onto the trailer ending on it's roof. 8) prolly an hours work once everything was undone.

you wouldnt be able to lift it off ,just use 2 engine lifts, one on each end and just steer the chassie out.

Myself and a mate lifted half a short wheelbase safari fairly easy, get 6 mates around to be safe and you should beable to lift it.
