Rookie from Wellington

Post by Newkid »

Hey guys, names Baden, 24 and working for the Wellington Free Ambulance as a Dispatcher / Call taker. I am very very new to the off road scene, my experience spans of 6 trips around the south coast over devils gate and out to the light house, which includes getting stuck twice

I recently purchased an 86 Hilux surf, has a snorkle, Minor lift and A/Ts on it which i hope is enough. I looking forward to meeting you all, learning alot and having fun in the mud!

Ralleywoods sounds like alot of fun, Not sure if i would have the skills as yet to do it tho? I would gladly hand the drivers seat over to someone else with experience to learn from them tho!

welcome baden..

you may wanna jump in with someone else but honestly chap, theres only one way youre going to get experience off road and thats sittin in the hot seat yourself.. get advice from others as ya go but remember, ultimately she's your rig bud, any mischief that occurs will be yours to live with. not them.

now go have a ball..

QFMFT.
I've recently bought a Safari and have learnt a lot more while actually being in the hot seat than I ever would being in a silly seat.
There's a whole friendly bunch hiding around the Wellington region that I'm sure would be more than happy to sit in and teach you what to do :)

Also, Greetings!
