hay guys,
i have recently brought a new diff because my one shat itself... i have just installed it which seemed pretty straight forward... i got it all hooked up and took it for a drive now i have a heck of a noise sounds like its coming from the drive shaft...
i have checked that the universals on the driveshaft were all aligned and seems to be good as all i took off was the back couplink to the diff ...
could this sound maybe from some one taking the diff to bits and not checking the backlash properly in the diff???? this noise has got me stumped has any body run into this promblem???
the new diff is a lsd ca48 c200 diff and the old diff was a open ca48 c200 diff.
truck is a 92 facelift navara 4wd
everything drove fine before i took the diff out apart from the diff making a noise and on inspection the ring gear and pinion gear were missing teeth.
cheers guys

Re: d21 navara diff problems
Hard to comment on when i can't hear the noise, but if you can't feel anything by manuelly turning things, I'd be sitting it on axel stands (and chocked) and driving it with someone listening underneath. Use brake to load it if need be. Do be careful thou
