85 Doublecab Hilux Crawler Build

Post by Will_Hilux »

Hey guys, was on the forums a few years back and used to go on the weekend trips with Tim (hosehustler) , Rik and Al, used to drive a Red surf on 32s. anyways i still own the surf but have started another 4x4 with my old man. its a 85 doublecab lux that we picked up for $800 4 years ago, bought a 5m for it 3 years ago and things didnt really progress. in the last year we have been collecting parts when things come up at the right price. we now have a set of half warn 36inch tsl swampers, on 15x8 steel rims that have been flipped. some falcom leafs for the rear, and also now a twin transfer box. still along way to go, going to build a highsteer setup, still need shocks and bits and pieces. will get some pics up in the next few days.
Cheers Will

thanks for reading

with a diesel lux the mounts all line up for 5m using 5m engine and diesel chassis mounts, also the fuel lines, and clutch slave cylinder on the correct side also
swb lux with 7mge, trailgear crossover, trailgear rear lift kit, custom front bar, runva 1200lb winch, custom snorkel, 37" Mtrs, custom deck, lockright in the rear.
