engine was heard running before it was removed from donor.sounded alright. any ideas on where it came from? it appears it has been apart before so unless previous dodgy mechanics droped it and left it in there?

cheers alistair

I don't know the Holden V6's but it looks like to me an idler tensioner spring of the sorts.. Do they have a internal belt ? if so check for it being missing..Covers will have to come off..
