arp bolt torque setting

arp bolt torque setting

Im trying to find the torque setting for arp bolt 250-2201 pro series bolt 190,000 psi.

searched their site and it says no info for that particular kit as yet.

anyone find something that I cant??

the part that you are tightening has a tourque setting bud, the ARP bolt will take anything you can throw at it :wink:

so if its a head stud and the manufacture'er'er recomends 100ft/lb then you do the ARP bolt up to that not the other way around.

so if its this your after then heres a handy thing for you :mrgreen:

cheers for that, but u sure?

that link you put up has a "warning" saying if using arp bolts, use their torque settings.

and the person who recommend I use arp said they come with their own setting..

its the part that your bolting that has a specified tourque setting for a reason, mostly so the standard bolt/stud doesnt yield but also so it doesnt damage/crush/warp/the part you are bolting up or tear the thread out of the base.

the ARP bolts are more than capable of going to a much greater tension before yeild, but you would never get that as the threads would strip out of your flywheel well before then :wink:

ARP bolts are the buisness end of the automotive fastener stick and use them where ever you can.
