Starter motor removal td27 d21 navara

I have the starter motor undone, But do i need to pull the inlet manifold off to get it out. Or is there an easier way to remove the starter from the engine bay.

dont think so mate,we didnt on the brother n laws truck if i rememer correctly,try going out the bottom rather then trying to get it out the top

Ive done this about 4 times on my terrano, just had to flip it and wiggle it until it pops out the top.

I tied a bit of rope to mine and lifted it out the top,not enought room for my hand and the starter

Mine comes out between chassis and inner guard into the wheel arch area. Can't do this on the Terrano's from memory.

Starter rebuilt and back in and going, also replaced a dodge tierod and fixed a sticking speedo needle at the same time productive day.Thanks for the help, i got it out the wheel arch.

heya bo sorry to open up an old topic, but how did u remove the bottom bolt for ure starter motor? i can even get to it at all....

oh got it out! XD just had to take my R/F wheel off!
