Re: WTB turbo
hahaha. Yes indeed... Was going post up when I had some (positive) results but since you asked...
Had a go at taking off the exhaust manifold but the four bolts that hold the turbo on wouldn't budge a bit. In an awkward spot too.
Anyway, without that off I couldn't reach all the bolts to get the manifold off so stuck everything back on as I need(ed) my car for the week.
With everything back in place it started up sweet enough, so I let it idle for 10 before taking it down the road. Heard some noise when it went to boost. Crap. Back up to the garage to find my car had bled to death. only hand tightened the oil feed line to the turbo.Cleaning this crap up puts perspective on what they're dealing with in BOP...
....
On a side note I did discover that one of the oil line bolts was completely solid with crap instead of being hollow with four holes... Think it's the oil feed out of the turbo?
Lesson learned: Only superman can tighten bolts with his hands...

Re: WTB turbo
Do you still need a turbo?
Re: WTB turbo
Yep, still on the look out. Just been keeping an eye on TM. ^ sounds like a good idea to have some spare ones handy. Not easy to source a decent one in short notice.
