Gary, I think it may be an idea to figure out what the maximum capacity can be for entrants, also if you are doing 10 trucks at a time for 30mins each then may be best to work out if your wanting to have 1/2/3 sets of 30mins through out the day.

Then just work out how long you want the event to go for, then you should have a fair idea on how many trucks you can handle.

Cheers

Caleb

Then you also have to factor in recovery times aswell, especially when recoveries can go well over 30 minuites

As long as it has a decent expansion chamber for it nothing like a two stroke in power band ah

Hi people,

Because of the major interest we have had in Mudfest NZ we are taking pre-registration for our 4th December event at Hampton Downs.
We are limiting the numbers to 70 entrants only and it will be first in first served basis, your entry will be accepted once your payment has cleared the bank account unless the maximum number has been reached on that day or prior, in that case your fee will be refunded in full.
Please keep an eye on our face book page “MudFest NZ” and we will keep you informed of how the numbers are progressing.

Cost,
• $20 per entrant vehicle, this includes your pit crew and driver, kids under 12 free.

Registration will close once we have reached the maximum number (70)

Please email me at garystirling@xtra.co.nz and I will forward you a registration form, further information Gary 021 1330111

haha, thats good.

Just a quick question I thought of just now. On the indemnity form it sayys you need a helmet and overalls. What helmet do you need and what overalls? I got my dads old helmet he used for hill climbing etc would that be ok? and overalls wise just normal mechanic type overalls?

cheers

Hi, the helmet should be of a safe standard and that is suitable for the intended use, passengers also must wear a helmet.
On the overalls issue, because of the environment we will be playing in I don’t think fire should be a problem, in fact jumping out your burning truck and rolling on the ground should in theory put you in more risk of drowning then getting toasty, and before someone suggests wearing a floatation device, NO.
I feel 100% cotton clothing should be fine on the day. cheers

Now I just gotta sort a truck out. Accelerator and clutch cables on Weapon are seized solid its been that long since it was last driven, I think some of the winch has ended up on the Defender, one of the batteries is in the work van, rear tyre is dead flat, brakes are siezed.

Might just bring The50

yes spectators can pay on the day. What we are going to do is; I think that we will not have enough parking in the pits for spectators cars so we will get all spectator cars to park in the top car park of Hampton Downs and we will bus people down to the Mudfest paddock about 1.5Ks. The bus's will run all day ferrying people backwards and forwards to the paddock and car park. This will free up some space in the pits and also keep people's road cars clean by parking in a tarseal car park.
The cost per spectator in total including entry and the bus ride is $5 only
