looks like this is a common problem. i have exactly the same problem. you can buy the part from land-rover spares, he has two on stock. $85 plus GST. Land-rover NZ also has them, $110.00 plus GST. i am thinking about machining one out of alloy, but i don't have the bit that has broken off, so don't know what the unbroken part looks like.

Sweet mine is split and when u apply pressure by turning the key it just opens up!! so is the $85.00 a complete unit door handle barrel and key? or just the plastic part?

no just the plastic part. i wondered if there was a matching part in the left front door that i could swap over, wouldn't matter so much if the central locking didn't work from the left side.

Does the inside lock go back down once you unlock the door (by key or remote) and then it is as if it locks itself again, you can't open by the door handle unless you turn and hold pressure by the key or hold up the inside lock?

Easy fix if it is, little springs inside the locking mechanism.....I got mine off a place on ebay for cheap.....I will hunt them down for you if that's your fault....

You could try and find a Morris Mariner, they have the same door locks

Might be a cheaper option
