Re: parker hale 270
dunno what model but I had a 3006 bolt action parker hale when I was a teenager and it was a poorly machined piece of shit that had a really rough action and it always jammed live rounds down the spout

I have a parker hale safari 270, was cheap as chips and shoots straight every time. If you look after them they can be good rifles

Re: parker hale 270
I had a PK308 Safari with a Weaver Scope, same as this
Sloppy bolt, loose as fck, but they made them that way (so I am told)
Never jammed, always seemed to hit what was in front of it but that depended on who was on the blunt end of course. It even spent a couple of weeks in a river after it came of the horse during a flooded river crossing. lucky it had just been oiled up just before
The Army had Parker Hales 7.62 Sniper rifles for years, again, they all had real loose bolts/actions.

parker hales were built using 98 mauser actions, nothing wrong with them.
