1KZ-TE injectors - new or reco and where from?

Post by floatingkiwi »

Hi Folks

160Km on a 99 surf and issues with fuel pump timing outside specs at both ends of the rev range - not throwing any codes though. So, i'll do injectors first and see how it goes from there. I've already:
1) removed and cleaned entire intake system including intercooler - wasn't too bad/sludgey.
2) had a go at blocking the EGR - didn't really run better and in fact seemed to have less torque down low but probably revved slightly better.
3) Pump timing marks are still aligned.
4) engine doesn't burn any oil or give out any smoke of any colour. (but runs like a tractor rather than a sewing machine).

So, where do I get injectors, should they be new or recos, and from where? I'm in Taupo.

Cheers folks!

Matt
