Anyone have a winch near kumeu?

Garage talk. Anything from mounting a winch to water proofing the electrics.

i had a problem with a shit load of my wiring the other week in my 2.8 diesel, althought that has a mech fuel pump, it turned out when i replaced the alternator brushes i had earthed out that main power (which also goes to numerous other high current things such as nearly your whole fuse box), therefore blowing one of the bigger 50amp fuses i think, one of the unboltable ones, but it wasnt blown where you couldnt actually see it , effen pain in the ass to find thats for sure, not sure if its all relevent to your case but may help

I'd be keen on going on that safari.

But I'm too poor.

And the Lada may not be going reliably by then...

Was actually thinking of doing this,it seems like the easy option, as long as I dont knock the switch then it should be fine
