Re: Toyota Hilux LN106 D/cab grey
I seen a truck like that tonight on main north rd heading towards belfast at 6pm ....I thought.... there's Nige.... but didn't get to see who was driving because of the traffic around me.....noticed a big scratch/gouge in the drivers door.
Here's hoping I just seen Nige

Think I remember this truck coming into Brook Eng when I was there?

Re: Toyota Hilux LN106 D/cab grey
It wouldn't have anything to do with all the chopped up stuff that is getting rounded up by the asians for 3rd world off shore parts would it?
They buy x amount at a good rate and just theive the rest, I can't see how there is enough demand for specialist 4x4 bits in NZ, with out a lot of people knowing about it.

agree with rok,1 or 2 stolen trucks parts split up and maybe no one would notice parts in but the amount of trucks going missing lately cant all be for NZ

its just the same story with all the cars going missing too. like trucks these cars have some really branded gear on them and it would be noticeable too if it were to be sold in nz especially at the rate cars go missing.

Re: Toyota Hilux LN106 D/cab grey
This is seriously getting farked up!!! Look at the threads started over the last few days re stolen 4wd's and cars. A bit on the news last night in Auckland where police are visiting scrap yards searching dodgy hwc's, copper wire and vehicle parts.
A well set up 4wd being stolen (in my opinion) WON'T be random. It's been targeted so the obvious question is how long have the scumbags been watching a vehicle??
With the new privacy law you can now opt out of your personal details being known by anyone who wants to run a number plate. So they must be following the target vehicle to see where it lives or frequents.
If scumbags are being clever then they know that readily available info is available on forums etc. I've had one 4wd stolen years ago and I ain't gonna have another one stolen.
Maybe be vigilant for a vehicle following you or perhaps seeing an unknown vehicle regularly around your supermarket, house, work etc. Maybe you come out of somewhere and there is someone taking a pic with their mobile phone? - I've had that happen before but by German tourists in a freedom camper.
