been busy at work so things put on hold. a small up date the intercooler is mostly done but have no steel to make mounts to finish it. and nothing is open on a weekend that i know of. so i guess i have to buy 8m of steel just to cut 300mm of it lol.will sort that out this week also the water pump for the heat exchanger is not working so playing with at mo.have put it back to std until i get it all sorted.
have ordered some 3'' lift spring wont put em in just yet as will have a massive rake on it until front is sorted.
went for a wof and passed yay but he said that the drag-link is starting a bit sloppy so was trying to find the ball joints to fit it. but no one listed em... i guess it must be sold as a complete unit ?
wile i was under it i had a look around and found bent tie rods i did lol as this trucks runs on 30'' tyres and not been off road in my possession.

have been starting to collect shit.... bits i think i might need in the future.
so have a open 4.8 diff from a wide body terrano that i want to some type of locker into not sure what to go with. a self locking type eg lock right or a air locking type.
also have brought a spear td27t out of a stolen bunt out Ute funny thing it was my old Ute only sold it to her two mounts ago bummer for her good for me. its had a good burn not sure what i could still use ? i only wanted it so i could mate a new gearbox to it so it could slip into my truck when i was ready.
also have got my grubby little paws on a nissan safari gq 5 speed so let the mating begin (in-cert porn music here lol) also got a terrano peddle box of trade me for $10.
having great fun playing with project it quite addictive this 4wd caper. can see a lot of wasted time in the shed in the future one day it might even go off road. the term 'maller' comes to mind like a rock crawler but only driving to the shops/mall lol.

no not a straight bolt in used angle iron on one side and flat bar on the other, but no welding was needed still used std terrano seat runners if any thing seat feels about 10mm lower then std.

starting to get measurements together, to make a gq gearbox to td27t bell housing or an adaptor plate. so far it looks like a terrible idea because it not even remotely close. but im sure ill get it to work

I believe a td27t auto bellhousing, will bolt onto a td42 auto. Not sure what needs to be done with spigots thou. I know you've got manuels, but an old td27t auto bellhousing may make life easier.
If you break it... build it stronger.

body lift is next just to give me more room for gearbox and stop the intercooler from rubbing on bonnet.

if any one has a td27 manual gearbox out of there truck at the mo could you please measure how far the input sticks out past the bell housing edge. the easiest way would be to put a straight across the face of bell-housing then measure the protruding end of input shaft thanks
