hi there mate , welcome, have you done front balljoint flip yet , that helps with dropping those front wheels into holes for traction
Yea, though I drive through the valley of death (and it's mudbogs), I shall fear no trail;for tho art modified is my rig, and thy lift kit and lockers they comfort me. Amen

I had an MU 2.8 only went about 40 mm on the torsion bar wind up and flipped ball joints never had a problem for the 2 years I abused it , sold it and got Jeep Wrangler, ofcourse turning full lock into a bank and trying to climb up it would put a bit of stress on any CV I would think.

only thing i would say is the winch might be a bit light for your truck,. esp when really in the shit. But is better than nothing and you can always double line pull.
Those mus are pretty good wee trucks and are quite strong driveline wise.

Is the pines closed now? Gutted, I used to like going in there. Whakamaramara is a good little tiki-tour, if a little short. Havent been up there for a while. Most people can only drive as far as the big bog not far past the 2nd 'clearing' that you come too. Apparently a few play areas up there tho i havent been into.

You know the bog I'm talking about? I think someone doesnt want you past there, I seen last time I was down there someone had dug a side track around it, and someone else had put large tree trucks across it. "most" of those side tracks i've walked down just get too narrow to drive down. There is a supposed play area up one of them but havent been very far down it, only to winch out a mate who'd wedged himself into a tree going downhill

Good on you...I had a MU for 8 years,it gave all the tuff trucks a very good run for there money...lol..
It was lifted 4"old man emu suspension all round,2" body lift,ARB Bar work,ARB Diff locks front and back,Warn winch,snorkel,33" Simexs etc etc, this little truck would go any where..i think there is a photo on here some where .
I sold it and built a VX Cruiser with the same sort of mods plus cut to a ute [ dare i say it but the MU was better ...lol.. ] ,which i have now sold and i have a Wrangler which i haven't done that much to [ lifted, winch, snorkel and a few bits and pieces ]
The little MU's are a great little truck
PS A little bit of useless information.. the guy that owns my little MU is the guy that crossed the Cook Straight in a Toyota van a few years back...lol..
