The prado's just about got its nerves settled from following you round on the coast - should be able to convince it to follow you down a nice flat riverbed. And Nissans sink faster in pea gravel than nice light toyota's don't they??

Make sure you are ready for wet trucks at this time of year. Bottom is very soft in places and some deep holes. Have a ball guys, I always found the Conway a good little sneaky weekend away trip. The campsite you are talking about has a long drop on your right heading down stream.

Is the camp ground near the highway? My sister owns the property which was the old petrol station next to the bridge along side the conway river.

Nah Pete, it's roughly half way between highway bridge and inland rd bridge. It's an old hunters camp. Excellent spot.

My truck will still be out of action, so we'll have to give it a miss.

sorry I can't come this weekend, last weekend was my chance :?
The camp is hard to find, you'll need someone with you who's been there before in order to find it, the camp is about half way between inland road and state highway 1, problem is it's just a small gap in the bush, very easy to miss :(
There's plenty of other camping spots in there anyhow you'll find somewhere good
