would it be better to do the cheap lift comy nissan springs or spring spacers?

and where do you guys find all your comy nissan springs.. trademe is bare

spacers need a cert, but seeing you are doing a body lift which needs a cert anyway its probably not a big deal.

Finding springs, well pick a part or some such.

I tried the springs as suggested in the cheap lift thread in mine, but was never very happy with the way they sat. Don't know whether they would have passed certification because they didn't seat properly at the top and from memory they touched the brake calipers at full lock.

I ended up getting some aftermarket longer springs which were not that expensive and made life easy.

If I were looking at just those two options I would probably go with the spring spacers, but remember that longer springs are worthless without longer shock absorbers.

cool thanks.. i cant find any springs that give enough lift was going to look into one of those calmini kits but the agent down here want far to much compared to the us price. then read on here they aint that great anyway

If I did it again I would do the cheap lift but get proper lifted springs just for the front due to the issues mentioned above. The rest of the cheap lift combo works well.

i can only find 30mm lift springs though

30mm with the spring hat flip mod or whatever its called would probably be pretty level. Just guessing though. Any more lift and you would have to consider doing something to remedy the ugly cv angle you'll have.

yea i was going to fab up some drop brackes for the diff anyway.. has anyone used a fts kit from winch.co.nz? are they any good?

I have reached a similar conclusion as above as well re the front springs. We got ours to seat pretty well, but they do bow out and touch the brakes on full lock. I will probably change them at some point in the future.

We did get certification with that though...
