Wanting to buy a landcruiser 40 or 70 series swb or mwb with a v8 thats road legal with rego and wof, on lpg pref, needs to be in fairly tidy my budget max is around 7k, north island pref,

currently own a 89 nissan safari 4.2 auto with 4 inch lift and would look at swaps

Well done for seeing the light

If you get a 40 it is also worth having Power steering and front disc brakes (might as well get one that is already certed for the lot).

Also main issue you will have to look out for is rust. Otherwise parts are cheap and plentiful 8)

Good luck in your hunting.

Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

theres a 40 tub with rollcage formed on it (tacked only) diffs with lux or similar spare diffs, as well as spare pumps etc sitting at Outback 4x4 in Ngaruawahia. Cant remember if there was a donk as well. Good project for someone who's got some time and energy.

Why the change? you can't beat coils and if you want power just chuck a tdo5 with 15-20psi on your safari and you'll have more than enuf power.

Can't beat the sound of an 8 going full song though
