Got pretty much all the tracks pegged and tapped up today and gave them all a once over to check for more debri and bush and shit thats still falling down on the tracks, theres a few bits Reece wants me to post up and he didnt give me any notes so I'll try and remember it all
VEHICLES ON RALLYWOODS ACCESS ROADThe main access road is used by forestry contractors during normal work hours ie tomorrow (Friday), the Regional Council joker said there wont be any logging trucks working on Friday but the logging crews and other contractors are working not far from Pampas Gate so they will also be using the road so drive slowly, keep well left and be vigilant, there was a lot of vehicle movements on the road today. Saturday and Sunday it will be expected that there will be a lot of traffic on the road with competitors, officials, marshals, support crews, paparatzi, 4x4 magazine writers, residents and whoever uses it so also drive accordingly.
A number of stages start and/or finish on the main access road so keep all vehicles parked well off the road and away from entry exit points from stages to ensure there isnt any congestion or obstruction from parked vehiclesMARSHALLSif you havent already volunteered you've still got time to volunteer coz there is always more people needed
dont forget to read above about parking off the road and not congesting stage start/exits, you'll need to bring your truck or somebody elses truck if possible coz you'll have to escort competitors to a number of the stages, the stage you'll marshall will be dependant on you and your vehicles capability of getting there, dont forget to bring handheld PRS's and batterys if you've got them, a couple of pens coz they always stop working, wet weather gear and food and all that sort of shit
The road will be blocked off at either end of Green Hut and the Gazebo, there is plenty of parking up at the pits on the airstrip so dont congest the sides of the road trying to park near the hut
