wiapara river on sunday

can anyone tell me what access is like up to the gorge? is there still any issues? would like to go for a senic sunday drive up there. where do you drop in,out in relation to stringers bridge,paddock rd, laidmore rd? if theres still issues will go down to the beach instead if anyone wants a sunday outing.

I was up there last weekend on the quad, its quite soft in places.

Im sure you will be fine ....go in at Stringers Bridge & just stick to the river bed ..dont play on any river banks & keep away from any private land etc...we still need to tread carefully

all the way to the gorge. Great swimming spot there. Just stay in the river bed, don't drive up the rocks like past muppetts nor drive on the grass. Then all will be sweet. It is a sensitive area and I am sure Combined clubs are still working through access BS up there for all. They were this time last year. And it is soft.

I was on the trip that Mike ran as said above, dropped in at Stringers and drove up to the gorge. As said don't do anything reckless and it will be ok.
It's soft again in some parts so be ready.

I might be a starter (no WOF on truck at present - needs both front wheel bearings done)

Got an exam at uni on Sat and I still didn't sort my wheel bearings so don't want to head that far without WOF. Nother time, unless you keen on a sunday couple hrs up the Selwyn from Coes Ford?
