bloody grouse!
nothing like the suzuki 2stroke microcars. mate popped over in his 360cc fronte 'sports coupe' this evening. could hear it coming for miles. when I flatted with him we used to use it to commute between Brooklyn in welly, to lower hutt. rubbing shoulders, even. it's tiny.

hope this one holds itself together for you. be wary or exhaust leaks, blocking jets, and over oiling which all lead to lean off conditions = soft seizing. it's pretty amazing what can go on without you even knowing. if it happens at a fair amount of revs it pretty much means piston explosion. not nice, especially with how hard it is to get/make bits for them...

here's one of his frontes parked sideways in a standard supermarket carpark. as you can see it's rather small

Yeah, I want to get a Fonte one day

Mercutio used to have one, but I think he had to let it go??

The the LJ10 was designed to fit the Japanese Kie Car market, the LJ50 which came along a few years later was the attempt at giving it longer legs to sell some more in Oz.

They are pretty much the same size as the current SJ413 and Jimny, just a shit load lighter at 680kg's

Still got some brake parts to sort, and need to trim the adjusters on the steering tie rod too, but not far away from it.

The motor does have a strange intermittent noise that shouldn't be their, but will see what its like after a few hours of running under load. Hell, the motor in The50 was full of water when I got it and it purrs, so this one should be mint, its just sat under the bench in pieces for a few years

can't see the tube at work, but, that's youtube username 'fronte360' or something like that? that's me mate with the blue cvar up the page. welding on those spannies looks a fair bit grubbier on a video than it actually is in real life, even considering it's unground spot by spot welding on paper thin panel steel that's all hand rolled and shit. those things made that car a fair bit quicker around taupo race track and it sounds amazing
