Which budget All Terrains best for offroad use?

Post by danielbeek »

Hi,

Looking to get some ATs (31x10.5R15) for my Terrano (lifted sus only).

I've had BFGs T/A before and loved 'em, but budget doesn't allow for these again.
The vehicle is a d/d for reasonable mileage commuting so I don't want to go full muds. May eventually get a second set of wheels with muds anyway.

Soooo... I'm looking at Hankook AT-M RF10s ($200ish), or Kingstar AT RF03 ($180ish). I've found out the Kingstars are an old Hankook design, but seeing them in the flesh I was impressed with how 'aggressive' they look compared to many other ATs (fairly wide lug spacing on the side lugs).

Anyone had experience with both?
Any other AT suggestions, that fit the bill and are below around $250ea, in Auckland? Where to buy?

Thanks for any (informed) advice!
