bj42 83 radiator

Post by tangy »

Hi

anyone know someone in chch that stocks or can get a radiator for my 83 bj42? I have called around a couple of places, and no one seems to reply. I took it to A1 rad, they basically said it needed to have a re core. At $600 dollars, its cheaper to buy a new one.

Thanks

Jake.

its just the hoses on the other side is the only difference between the BJ and FJ isnt it, its not hard to swap the inlet and outlets over but I guess thats going to start pushing the cost up even higher

have you looked into the similarities between the BJ42 and the HJ60 or even the BJ74 or other 60/70 series diesel cruisers, seeing as how they all have very similar motors

The only difference in radiators is between the petrol FJ40s and the deisel BJ40s, but theres no difference between BJ40,41,42. The 60 and 70 series radiators will need a fair bit of moding to fit the 40series.
I have some here send me a pm. :D

Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.
