Onoke Spit Working Bee Friday Dec 16

Post by Jerry »

Sorry about late notice but if anyone can make it to a
working bee at Onoke Spit this Friday Dec 16 beginning
10-10:30 am at the backwater.

We are erecting a fence along the back of the first set of
dunes on the sea side to try to discourage vehicles along
this stretch so hopefully the native sand plants might be
able to get established.

We are also visiting the Spit again on Sunday Dec 18 with
the local Ornithilogical Society members to monitor the
breeding of the Caspian Terns - we are hoping there may be
some chicks to view.

Any Friends are welcome to tag along.

We will meet at out place at 10:15 am for morning tea and
then off to the Spit. Bring a packed lunch if you are able
to come as we usually come back to our place for lunch.

Cheers and compliments of the season to all
