Safari Bodylift

Ok, so doing bodylift this weekend. I know about modding gear levers and fuel hoses remove radiator shroud etc, just with the steering shaft mine doesnt look like it has alot of adjustment in it?? how far will it move with a 50mm bodylift or can the shaft be adjusted up in the dash?

never done a saf but shouldnt there be a slip joint that telescopes in the steering shaft for frontal impact?

why body lift, strains the floor and body mounts, ie cracking

i know it might but thats the chance i want to take, for the price of 1 shock absorber i can lift my whole truck to fit my new tyres. + i weld n do steel work for a living so should be able to repair.

mine was only 40mm, so I never had this problem. I wopuld never body lift a safari again. To reweld those cab mounts was a real pian in the arse.

Just undo bolt it won't move much at all that was a 50 mm aswell

good condition? shocks dented or anything? springs sagged? if good condition . . sold

i have 2" lift in it at the mo. .

I would' nt say good condition as they are 2.5 years old and have been used what there meant for, they may have sagged a little but didn't notice, that's why I used lwb ones, shocks have no dents and not leaking any gas, probably still under warranty, steering damper has a dent or two but works fine. Can view them if you want.

Didnt need them but they help, had them for a year with out longer arms minimal driveline vibrations, can't remember wither I had 5mm or 10mm gearbox spacers, and obviously caster bushes.

If you get castor bushes, buy them from ebay in oz. I paid $179nz delivered and they were rubber, which last longer.....
