Started the conversion from electronic pump to manual this avo.
Battery boxes removed and inner guard.
Make plenty of room available. Also gives me some room to seal up a factory joint in the fire wall that's been leaking.
Sunday its pump out....

Re: 17th 18th dec
not a lot this week. just fixing up little stuff.
got the filter adapter machined so now it doesn't leak.
power steering hoses rearranged and various other hoses moved and tied so they don't rub.
fix spotlights, fitted new switches, now spotlights don't work ! started removing a ton of wiring that was coiled up in the engine bay. tidying up the dual battery to single battery conversion.
started putting the water/meth injection system together.

Destroyed a free wheeling hub and the wheel hub too. off to the wreckers tomorrow for a replacement. Bugger. Wiper blades are fine though, thankfully
Re: 17th 18th dec
Had a jam packed day yesterday with a 1 yr old's birthday party, then red carpet work function as a guest speaker and open bar
then had some work mates over for a BBQ. Was a late start for Sunday and as the weather isnt the best I ended up taking more parts off the other bighorn the weather got to bad so I left the rest of it.

OK, I was going to go to Muriwai today, but others pulled out, so it was a no go.
But Woodhill beckoned me...
Not having a working 4wd, I decided to take my Mum's absolutely stock LWB Pajero on worn ATs. - A guaranteed good time.
Piccurrs:

I tried it's flex on the ramp. Pretty average (ignore the short-haired freak/muppet/me
)

Got stuck a little.

Then lifted a wheel for good measure

The we found a hill. A big one.

And with no ability to go back the way we came, it was up we go.
But with ruts like these, it was hard.

It took a few tries and a bit of exercise/digging
, as well as climbing in and out of the passengers door, and along the edge of the bonnet at one stage

But we made it, and came out here:

So all in all, an awesome time.
And it goes to show, you can have heaps of fun in a standard truck with nearly bald ATs
Oh, and we only got stuck twice. Even after following the safety patrol through nice muddy and flexy stuff (they had pretty well-equipped Safs
)
Edit: Some boring vids that were better IRL...

took out my starter motor to figure out why it sometimes doesnt work (got to love sometimes faults) cleaned the solenoid and put it back in. seems ok for now but there are signs of a lot of wear inside. new starter motor in the new year might be wise methinks
