So what does Piad Membership get you?
So what does Piad Membership get you?
Im not asking about the forum side of things, as we know, avatar, photo uploads etc, but what is the Club?
What do you get for your money? (This is a retorical question)
Are there monthly meets?
Are there monthly events?
Monthly mag?
I have no idea what to expect, and am simply asking to find out what the Club is all about. Before I fork over $$$

Paid site membership plus membership of the ORE 4x4 Association. This gives access to insurance on organised ORE 4x4 Association trips, if you are not already a member of the NZ4WDA. It also gives access to the ORE 4x4 Association forums.
** Note this is public liability and criminal negligence insurance -- not private motor vehicle insurance.
Its the same as being a member of a nz4wda affiliated club and the benefits associated with one.
1.Are there monthly meets?
2.Are there monthly events?
3.Monthly mag?
1.No its all forum based. Meets are on the trips.
2.More than likely events all around the country

3.Newsletter and forum posts.
Thats about all.
Theres currently about 49 in the club throughout nz.

one of the finer details being worked out with the nz4wda. still in the early days for club creation at the moment but things are progressing well.

Hi Ken, thank you for your inquiry.
The ORE 4x4 Assoc. Inc. (a.k.a: ‘Club ORE’) is a Nationwide fraternity of devoted 4-wheel drivers, which has boldly gone where no club has gone before ... an internet based association, formally recognised by the New Zealand Four Wheel Drive Association (NZFWDA). The NZFWDA is [i]“the national four wheel drive body in New Zealand, established in 1974 and representing the voices of over 2000 members, their clubs and United 4WD supporters.â€

Hi Leithfield
Really pleased to see ORE 4x4 Club get off the ground. Your post here shows great enthusiasm for the concept and with some one like you with the passion you show here I am sure it will be a great success. I know there has been a small team of hard working people like you that have helped get the club off the ground. It is a bold step to get a club off the ground I know that as personally I have done that. If you need any help with Constitution or what ever let me know and we can arrange to meet (as we are both in Canterbury) as I am only too pleased to help should you consider it.
Cheers and best regards
Paul

Thank you - I very much appreciate your support Paul, and would like to record a particular note of gratitude to yourself, Nick Lawson & Peter Vahry; without the stewardship provided by Combined 4wd Clubs Inc. & NZFWDA the O.R.E 4x4 Assoc. Inc. would not have emerged from chrysalis.
It is very much my desire and commitment that the O.R.E 4x4 Assoc. Inc. consult with, endorse and support any organization/personnel which can add further value to our club and sport.

Sounds like the beginnings of a mission statement there Kev :thumright:
Totally agree

So, the big question, what does paid membership get you?
Well, for a start, it provides hours of entertainment trying to decypher Leithfields posts.
As others have mentioned, "dumbass insurance" if we burn a forrest down whilst on a club trip, training, rescue squads, discounts........
Mike, who makes the site puuurrrty...... (front page looks cool, but damned if Turoa aint just a punk kid huh?)
Also, we have people like Leithy to do all the wordy writey officially type stuff so dumbasses like me dont have to.
What more could you want???
(No, beer and hookers dont count!!!)

And on topic - I`m already a 4x4 club memember with insurance etc - so what do I do to just suport this site? (Dont need to be a nz4wda member twice)
there is an option that takes this into account

You can choose to be just an offroadexpress supporter here:
http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/modules.php?name=catalog&file=product_info&cPath=38&products_id=100
or you can be an offroadexpress supporter and also join the ore 4x4 association. You can already belong to the nz4wda just click the sub option which asks if you are already affiliated or not.
http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/modules.php?name=catalog&file=product_info&cPath=38&products_id=101
The last one will have trips that will require participants to have nz4wda affiliation (ok if your with another club and coming along as a guest etc)
