Gearbox query

Will a 89 vg30 gearbox fit a 91 td27t? The diesel is a good runner and being my 4th vehicle am looking at getting it going to take to the beach this summer. So can this work (for the farm and beach) until I get to getting the td27 box rebuilt etc?

I have an 89 (motor gone) but box okay and hence my query.

No it will not. Unfortunate as the vg boxes are stronger, but as trademe prices tell you, there isnt a demand for them
