diff ratio

hey guys, just wondering what the ratio of my front diff on my 85 ln60 surf is so i can get a rear diff, the axle code is G284.

G= 8 inch
28=4.3
4 = 4 spider

if the front diff in my truck is 4 spider, do i have to have a rear diff that is 4 spider or can i have one that is 2 spider? cheers

if the bolt holes are the same it'll fit. Mine did anyway. keep in mind a 2-spider is not as strong as a 4-spider diff.

edit: double check ratio before it goes in....

yea just need to know because people on trademe dont specify if they are 2 spider or 4 spider, so was just wondering if it mattered, but yea il be goin for a 4 spider. also does anyone have a 4.3 ratio diff that would fit a 85 surf? ive been looking all over trademe and they all want too much for them, also not too sure if lsd diff would be worth it? ive heard that toyota lsds are pretty much like open diffs? not sure if this is true?
