You could fix the saggy surf arse...
And then bigger exhaust for 2.4...
Plus snorkel for the unexpected...
Plus winch to pull out bogged Nissans...
Ok so the list gets huge 8) 8)

Got some front springs for it off a ln106, thanks very much to Josh (89surf) for organising the freight from Kaikoura

Going to chuck them in and some rears this weekend so should square it up nicely. Don't know if i'll keep it though now we've been red zoned I might force myself to finally spend on a nice 80 series
My wife now has the repaired Isuzu, plan was to keep this and the Isuzu and sell her car (96 Mitsi lancer) but Al and family are heading over for xmas / new year so they'll need a car so will re-acess our motoring needs after they leave and when the govt will pay us :?

Haven't done the springs yet but have them here, as for pics, just the one but can take more, would prefer buyer to view due to age of it

Beam axle hilux daily runner for sale

Post by hosehustler »

The wheels are 15X8's with bridgestone duelers, heaps of tread, engine runs well, good clutch.
If you don't want the wheels and tyres on it I will do the vehicle for $2600 min with a set of standard rims with very good AT tyres,
it's a really good launching pad for someone wanting to get into offrading with a 5 speed, solid axle front end, and at a cheap price

I also have a nice little Mitsubishi Lancer coming up for sale, it's being used by my sister and Al at the moment but will be sold after that.
It's a 1996 or 1997 4door metallic blue spoilers etc, 1600 twin cam VIE model, has only done 90,000K's was my wife's runabout but she now has a new car.

Put it on the side of the road with 4sale sign in it, always sell better than on Tardme and with less tossers. :)

yet if it was a hilux ute you could stick 10 g on it with the same specs and still sell it. hilux utes are totally over priced. pisses me off when i need it for a quad and it wont fit in the back of (my) surf lol..

id definitely say time of year mate,id suggest to hang in there, let everyone get back from the holiday season and then try again.the is well worth the 2.5k you're asking.if i had the cash id buy it as a daily for myself and sell the hilux i got planned, couldn't complete that and put it on the road for 2.5k that's for sure

just out of curiosity how much did it cost to get down to you?you came up to auckland and drove down didn't you?i'd need to do the reverse

ok I'm back already.as you've said those motors don't last that long without some sort of work  ,how does she drive?you're obviously reasonably happy with it?ie if circumstances were different would you be happy to hold onto her?and apart from that slight oil leak (have you spotted where from) any other issues with the motor?fuel pump etc is all good and not seeping?sorry bout all the questions but this maybe the answer to my problem so have gone from could be an option to this could seriously work out good 8)

was welly's, $80 for flight, $146 for ferry, half a tank of diesel.
Would've kept it but with the red zoning of our old place I decided a new car for the wife and the Isuzu for me was the better option
