just a question about the shock length, did you take the shocks out of the truck and flex it up to find the compressed/extended length you need coz theres quite a difference in lengths of all those shocks you listed?

I can confirm the rear EFS in the shiz. The rear can handle the extra extension. Get hold of some rear CAST lower trailing arms, tight lsd and the rear is done 8)
The front
Resist tightening the torsions up too much. So the front shocks don't really matter what length they are cause they can only travel between the bump stops plus a little squish. If they can do that, then that is all you need.
As for the other replacement items
Be prepared to do this exercise regularly :P

Some pics of the the truck help heaps.
And what's your location?

Best of luck.
Cheers,
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

yeah man got the lsd to go in, just need to pull finger and rebuild and add a few more clutch plats like they did herehttp://npora.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=22182
had a quick look on google for rear CAST lower trailing arms got a heap of crap but none of it was a help  SO do u mean get longer ones or the ones that are a tube with the eyes at each end :?: dumb i know but i dont
i have been thinking about removing the lower bump stops at the front and leave the 1 on the wish bone for a bit more travel anyone tried it :?
and ill put some pix up when i find the camera bloody kids

was reading a forum and a joker in oz said that the rancho rs9000 are to soft even when set on max http://www.4wdaction.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=59454

With no bump stop you run the risk of blowing the inners CV's.
Those factory trailing arms you are referring to are the fabricated ones, can bend those ones at will
The cast arms are like a I beam. They are on about 20% of the terranos here.
You can just see them pocking out in this photo,

P.S, EFS dude.

Measured a factory rear (with electronic damper adjusted) shock,
from centre of eye to centre of eye is;
max 585mm
min 370mm
And at my ride height (2"lift springs) 500mm.
So If wanting to get any extra flex (down travel) will need some longer than 585mm C2C

The cast rear lower control arms I thought came out on early model terranos (-1992), and steel pipe on later model (widebody) terrano
