Looks like a TD27 turbo from that side. Does the compressor housing have any plates or ID?

Looks very much the same as my spare td27 terrano turbo (1992?), which has HT12-1 stamped into the front below compressor intake.

yes think you will find its a td27 from the terrano unless there is a twin out there somewhere.

the Mistral like the terrano are one and the same engine, but different Turbo

1992 terrano uses the HT12-1, and mistral uses the TB25 ( forgot the year).
so what's the difference? except for the compressor housing.
