td27t-2 ve pump wiring help

Post by navara66 »

I have the firts gen td27t motor in my navara but it is getting a bit tired.
So i brought a complete td27t-2 motor with 100k on it.
my current pump only has the fuel cut off wire left with all the potentiometer stuff removed. The new VE pump has allot more wires, what do i need and what can i remove.

Back of pump
red wire= solenoid timer
yellow wire = fuel cut

top of pump 6 wires
black
blue/red
blue
blue/yellow
white
blue/black

pump gear cover
black wire
red/black

I can change over pumps when i do the motor swap but this one is timed up and 100k newer than the old pump.Any help would go down a treat.

Not too schooled up on nissan pumps but it sounds like the newer pump is an ECU driven pump......(electronic)
So unless you have the brain and senors and wiring it ain't going to work.
Would need to put your old pump onto the new motor.

Can you post up a pic of your pump?
pictures tell a thousand words :)
Mechanical pump only needs shutoff wire, but probably has tacho wires and some wires for tps that could be removed

Guessing that we can't see these two in pics?
I'm thinking they probably the tacho wires.

The yellow fuelshutoff wire you will need.
Red looks like a valve in spill pipe?? I don't know about this one
Other 6 to tps you won't need (used for auto and EGR control)

I think this was an option in cold climates, it would overpressurize diesel in pump for starting. I read it somewhere.
If you break it... build it stronger.

The black thing is a TPS throttle position sensor.
I know some Toyotas run pumps like these and it drives an emissions unit.
Which feeds signals to operate EGR valves etc etc.
My gut feeling is don't worry about them just hook up your fuel cut solenoid and shes all go.
