Long time listener, First time caller.

Post by Ashkan »

Hi guys,

Have been lurking around these forums for a while now and have finally decided to sign up and get a bit more into the offroading buzz.

I have recently sold my hilux, which was bought off an old man who was the only owner since new! I bought it originally to pull my race car but after taking it through the track in Woodhill, I quickly caught the modding bug and did a very basic suspension lift and put it on 15x10 steelies and 33/12.5/15's.

It looked like this

Took it out a couple times when it wasn't on towing duty...

After a while, I decided that I needed something with a little bit more balls, and so I sold it and bought another 540 BMW to tow with. This was a lot better to tow with ( read: 100k up the bombays vs 20k :) ) but I soon (3 weeks) got bored of it and sold it yesterday.

I am now looking for a new truck and have pretty much secured a Rugger from a friend of mine up north. It is defintly not as pretty as the hilux, but it will be less to worry about and hopefully be a bit more capable.

I will add photos of the Rugger etc if/when I get it and start a project thread as it will probably become an ongoing project.

Anywho, thats my life story, I look forward to going on some club runs and catching up with some of you.

Cheers
Ash

Cheers fellas.

Short answer - no, not in any sort of club yet (BMWCC :D) but will look into it. I have a list of things I want/need but have no idea what they are called so will start picking your brains when I get the car here.

I will be picking up the rugger tonight, cant wait. Drive it back from the far north tommorow morning.

Will make a project thread with a shitload of questions once I have it.
