Well this morning Started out leaving Masterton at 8:30 destined for Wellington to pick up the Cressida that i brought thru the site for $50.00, got there about 10:30 loaded the donor on to the trailer (which was easy), and headed for home, got to the Kaitoke hill just out side of upperhutt and had to change to first gear for the haul (the trailer weigh's about 1500 kg's), got to the Rimutuka's and switched the low range in only in 2WD and started the haul up the tuka's having to pull over every chance i got to let the traffic pass, stopped at the top so the wife could give my apprentice (9 months old) his food and bottle, and then finally got back home around 1:30, well like a kid in a candy shop i couldnt wait, so i got stuck in, the motor was out from the cressida in about a hour, then it got rolled away to make room for the LN65 Hilux, the motor itself went in easily enough and bolted straight up to the diesel engine mounts, that was plenty enough for the one day, so i called it quits about 5:00 to spend a bit of time with the little man before he went to bed.
more to come as she gets wired, watered, and geared..

i diddnt mention yesterday that my "state of the art" lifting frame came down "not once but twice" the cressida now has some nice dents in the roof and a smashed windscreen...lol..you'll see in the pic's...the only thing i had to change to get the motor on to the hilux was grind off the little locator pin's that stick up on the mounts, other than that she went straight in..gotta go to the engineers tomorrow and arange to get the bellhousing made..
cheers

Well today i was thinking that my wife doesnt punish me nearly enough, so what better way to do it ..myself..lol..i ripped the entire wireing loom out of the cressida ( i know i didnt have too), and proceeded to disasemble it, getting rid of the useless crap in the process, all but ready to join the wires up and find a new home for them.
got the loom thru the firewall and mounted the ECU, plugged the electric's up to the engine components, still have to mount the air box/AFM,and vaccume lines.
good thing i take my time.!!..
Keep it wet n slippery

i got the electrics done today, power to all required points, the engineers were happy to take 1k+ to do a bellhousing for me so i declined, might have found one up in auckland just waiting for him to ring back, might put the auto bellhousing on tomorrow and hook up the fuel pump and see if i can get it started, so it'll prob be atleast a couple of week's before she's up and running properly, always starts with a hiss and a roar, butr always something to slow you down.
so it's time to (pshhhh) crack a Tui.!!
Cheers
