Yet again I have to say a massive thanks to Pedro, coz without your amazing skills and talent, none of this would of been possible for me.

Got some 27w Led lights off Ebay... Arrived last night. :D Tested them out on the drive ...not bad. 8)
Will spend some time working out how to mount them. Don't want them on the front bull bar. (too low) Don't want them higher than roof line.
Have no exco roll cage at present...hmmmm
Possibly make some brackets and attach to gutters, extend around front.
Or attach above windscreen, not too worried about drilling holes in roof skin.......

Well had a good day today, managed to finished fitting the transfer case and driveshafts on the zuk  also got hold of a pair of VR commie shocks which I also put in. Took it for its first drive   it runs and it drives, so pretty stoked about that, just have to sort out the steering issue, the bloody thing tries diving off the road randomly - a definite off road truck

Old slightly 'worn' shocks  and the new VR shock

New shock on the left old one on the right  just a SLIGHT difference

Grabbed a roof rack bar and mounts off Trademe for a dollar...Only the one...
See if I can make a light bar out of it....
Also went into Dick Smith (DSE) to score some diodes...
The guy said "Whats a diode?"
Had to ask the manager ....doh...
And found out they no longer stock electronic parts like diodes, resistors etc etc.
Only plugs and sockets now....And all those other consumer gadgets...
Oh well will go thru my boxes of junk and see if any circuit boards have any of the right amps on them.....
Want to try and manualise the auto this weekend....

I'm guessing it was way too short and restricting spring movement?

The new shocks are supposed to be 50mm extended, the old ones are factory escudo (as far as I know) the one on the right was the small bent one in the other pic.

The old shocks were ruined they barely moved, so i guess that was making it sit lower? Im not too sure to be honest, I dont know alot about suspension.

Looks great  8)

You could even do plastic storage containers for draws, easy to clean :)

Well just thought I would have a look under the zuk after Sibainmud pointed out a loose steering arm nut, and what do you know all the MAIN bolts holding shit on are finger tight

This is the 2nd vehicle ive ended up with that has joined the "Finger tight for life" crew

Kind of scary really, the steering arm top and bottom, the panhand rod (front), the trailing arms on the front, couple of other minor things were ALL finger tight

Oh well at least it gives me something to do

So far the weekend started with friday night working on a work mates pajero trying to get it going after he pulled the injector pump off only to find the timing all over the whole engine is out so we decided to have a crack at it and managed to get it going but Saturday he tried for 1 more tooth on the injector pump and lost the mark and so we started again on it this arvo and had no luck so time to start back at square 1 tomorrow if I have time and at least make it start and idle.

At least it takes less than a hour for the pump off and back on so its not to bad.

After a bit of blood sweat and bourbons, got the replacement shortblock into the Zuk on Saturday night. Just have to torque all the bolts - or I'll be joining the finger tight crew
