Hiace diff

Post by skux »

I have a 2002 hiace 3000cc diesel.

At 100k it's revving at 3100rpm, Im wanting to lower that so im using less gas on the open road.

Can anyone suggest what diff ratio i should look at getting?

Thanks

to know what ratio to go to you need to first find out what is currently in it and do the calculations.

from those figures it would suggest his is a 4.3. I had the feeling the 1kz hiaces came 4.1 and 4.3 but i think some (maybe just 2lt or petrols) were 4.5

Just keep tyre size in mind as well obviously you need to compare apples with apples (not 18 inch chromes with space savers  )

Its on 19" wheels, So sounds like a 4.3 then? would a 4.1 drop it under 3000rpm?
