New member here, been driving a few 4x4s over the years having just sold my 3rd surf i need to scratch the itch of an XJ. like most on here i have been doing a heap of reading\veiwing american forums etc about the Xj's and there is some great info out there.
Im chasing a wagon that is just going to be a weekend wagon really, i have a work vehicle for most of my round town running. Thinking that id like to get a low km (ish) model around 160kms and spent a bit doing it up.
Been looking at the OME kit with grand cherokee springs in the front so i can put 31's on, but do i still need to cut the guards for full clearance ? The guys at G Guy motors in welly have said it should be sweet but just want to check with the local crew on here ?
I guess also if anyone ones of a suitable wagon out there id be keen, doing the standard trademe thing of course to
Im keen to get the boys at G Guy to check it over before i buy, but are there any standout things that you know of to look out for ?Once i get the jeep, i will start a photo thread of the upgrades. just standard stuff really but always fun to see what others are doing. (lift,tyres,snorkel,bar,lights)
Anyways, looking forward to coming a regular on here
