Lincolns Vitara

Post by lincooln »

Well I thought it was about time I did some work on my zuk and do a thread. It won't be much work, more of a tidy up and re chassising.

Planned work is:
Paint new chassis, fit all the new bits including: rear diff, gearbox, front suspension, new shocks, LWB springs, strut cap flip, etc.

Will paint anything that is not alloy and anything alloy clean the hell out of it excluding the front diff. otherwise it will be black. Body will probably be a matte green, but maybe an orange or something. can paint job though.

and that's about it. Hope to have it all going for the next mudfest.

Got some work done today as the Humber hawk left, and cleaned up the carport and now I have space. Managed to get the chassis painted 80%, underside now needs doing and its done, ready for the suspension to be bolted on.

Don't spray can it!!!!!

Thats waaaaaaaaay expensive!!

Beg or borrow a little compressor, buy yourself a Supercheap gravity fed spray gun for $20 and do it with that.

At least then you can do it with decent paint that wont fall off when you water blast it!!!

a full galv body would be mint as. haha, but I will stick to painting it. Sounds like I got some painting stuff sorted now then, so will aim to have the body ready for paint by early next month. Will be doing both inside and outside.

and I finished the chassis painting for now today. now to finish the trailer so I can pick up my parts from up at my dads, and then it will be all go for real
