Changed the Oil in a rear Portal on the Mog.There was a bit of "Glitter" in the oil.but not too bad.

Tried to find the Tow Hitch for it,then tried to find some steel to make another one.But found bugger all as it snowed about a foot last night.

More of a climbing trip than 4wd but did take the truck up the Clyde as far as Black Bluff. Quicker to walk from there on.

For those that know the area there were wheel tracks up to McCoy hut   That is some serious dedication to rock bashing :!: :!:

so spent the weekend in tokoroa and did some stuff on the G have got the V8 sitting in the engine bay found out there is a different type of Oil filter housing on some models or mercs so am on the lookout for one of them and also there going to see if i can find an unusual exhaust system that is apparently available

oh yeah decided i should sell my car and buy a shiny 4x4
my 4wd is not a truck

old mercedes never die but sometimes they do need some love

Wired up the solenoid for L4 and put raised the bumper to fit the body lift.

Now I think the front prop shaft is hitting the transfer shift linkage... as it goes NUGGA NUGGA NUGGA and the transfer shifter shakes a lot when moving in L4.

More dumb sh!t to fix :(

Well started replacing the brake proportioning valve in the weekend, finished it today. Wasnt hard at all just had to get a couple of brake fittings to go from my hard brake lines into the Willwood proportioning valve. Took it for a spin tonight and JESUS!!! look out I got me some decent brakes again. Went flying down a gravel road to see what the balance was like, arse end almost came right around. A couple of turns on the dial and all sorted. Best $111 Ive ever spend I reckon. So if you have a Landcruiser Prado and your brakes are shithouse, try replacing your proportioning valve with an aftermarket one. Surprised it passed so many Wofs and cert x2 like that...

Too quick for me to even finish juz.
Drive it.......
Me and JR were up there a few months back but someone could have been up there since then? We walked up to Collin Campbell Glacier for a bit of a look too. There was a group of climbers that walked up the whole way behind us so we figure it was quicker to drive and we didnt have to carry all our crap! But it was pretty slow going at some points!

Sorry this is a bit late but have been way to busy.

My wife had our daughter on Sunday arvo at 13:55. 25min labour.

7lb 15oz 52cm tall and very healthy and mum wanted to come home that night but the midwife made her stay in for 1 night.

My wife said this was a breeze compared to our 3yr old who was 9lb 1oz.
