Got the diff all hooked up today, and found I had the hoses reversed (off was engaged).
When I swapped the hoses over to where they should be, the difflock won't engage, so I'm guessing one of the solenoids isn't working.
Is there a quick way to check this? The diff will engage when the hoses to the solenoids are swapped, so I suppose that confirms it really.
Is there a better replacement than another factory solenoid? Any idea where the best place is to get one?
Cheers,
Dave

Take both the vacum hoses off the solinoids ( the 2 that go to the actuator on the T/C. With the motor going ,and the 4WD button out, there should be vacum on one of the solinoids, now press the 4WD button in, it should draw vacum on the other solinoid.

Well, I have found the problem.
Turns out that after doing a little testing, that the second solenoid was not getting power when switched on.
Had a bit of luck, and managed to find that the feed wire for the solenoid had actually been put in the wrong plug at the factory
Did a quick cut and join, and everything now APPEARS to be working, but will have to give it a try 2moro to double check.
Have been recommended a solenoid from the boys in oz which is supposed to be a lot better and has an exhaust vent, which allows faster engaging/disengaging, so will order one I think.
Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated.
