no its an old photo he keeps forgetting to change.they come all drilled except for the holes to suit the clutch slave cylinder.for myself that's easy enough but you might need someone to do it.also they need a flywheel cover plate made

can you get it redrilled for the R box or is it too big for it, we had a rover one redrilled for a W or G box for possums boy last year, dunno what the bellhousing was made for other than having rover to toyota on it and it was pretty full of holes and had bits welded onto it from different gearboxes that had been hanging off it but it fitted ok

Re: WTD - Bellhousing, small block Chev to R151f Hilux
Muddy Hilux is dead right, the R series box is signifcantly wider in the front. The G series to chev bellhousing I have doesn't have enough meat in it to accept the R series.

Re: WTD - Bellhousing, small block Chev to R151f Hilux
Gday muddyhilux, where did you get your bell housing from?? do you still have the chaps contact details or a company name??
I have a graham berry bellhousing that used to pair up a 283 to a w series box and in the process of upgrading my lux just found out, as you guys have, that it don't fit an r series box....
I need ta get hold of a bell housing pretty asap and don't have time to wait for one to pop up
Please help
Cheers

Yea 750 aussie dolla so that makes it alot closer to a grand, then add shipping probli a hundy or more then wen i pops thru customs our governmnt bangs on a big cuple hundrd dolla import tax like when i bought my gopro so plus the wait around, that options not so viable...

i used a mill and die grinder to machine out quite a bit on both sides to clear the 14" flywheel.the walls not super thick to start with so i took my time removing ONLY what needed to be removed and no more.also needed die grinder treatment to get super starter to clear casting, slave holes drilled and tapped and flywheel cover plate made as well as drilled and tapped housing to attach to

Re: WTD - Bellhousing, small block Chev to R151f Hilux
cheers for that, yea went and got one, turns out I have the smaller flywheel so I only had ta drill and tap the side for the slave cyl, and fab up a bottom cover, so sorted all of that, however run into a new problem with my engine having a bit of an abortion.
Re: WTD - Bellhousing, small block Chev to R151f Hilux

Exchange rates puts $AU750 at about $NZ810 at the moment.
Then shipping
Then GST & Customs fees - but there is no Import Duty on car parts (unlike cameras).
How heavy is it?
