I just bought a set of the Nite Stalker halogens (170 series though) which are have one spread and one spot from Supercheap for $79.00
Pretty good so far and at the price I can afford to use them then replace them later if I want with something bigger

X2 thats a good read and comparison there, I havent had any LEDs but I've had Halogens and HID's and are currently using a set of Hella 11" HIDs, they were manufacured as HIDs but someone had converted them to halogens before I got them so I stuck one of those 100 dollar chinese 6000k HID kits back into them, ones a pencil and one's a spread beam and I'm definately sold on them those things put out farking awesome intence brilliant light like its daytime but they do lack in that wide spread in tight bush where LEDs probaby start coming into their own
