Does anyone know if 80 series front diffs can turn a tighter steering lock, than say a 70 series or a hilux diff?
And if so how do they compare to a gu nissan diff?

Re: 80 series diffs
Cheers for that, standard toyota aisin freewheeling hubs fit them as well?
Is that correct??

Re: 80 series diffs
Yep, well the early 80 series. The later ones have a longer outer spline on the CV. I use early 80 series drive flanges on the lux axles in my zuk. You could use them on the later ones, they would just need a 5mm (I think) spacer
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed

Pre 94, ... dont want them damn spacers

After 94 is when they changed to allow for ABS...

Yes agree don't like the idea of spacers between the hub and FWH, more likely to shear off the studs.
Could just trim the end off the CV and cut a new circlip groove.
Cheers

If it's jus the cv that's different why not just run early cvs in the later housing? (assuming you ended up with a later housing that is)
Didn't barbie drive a jeep??
